Red tide bloom off coast of Lee County
GULF OF MEXICO, Fla.- Local biologists are on the hunt for red tide. Local biologist sampled for the algae that has been spotted off shore of Lee County. Red tide can be known to wreak havoc in southwest Florida but we haven’t seen it for a few years. Now with a large bloom just off the shores of Sanibel Island, will it bring with it dead fish and breathing problems or a chance for biologists to study and understand why it happens?

Americans are rejecting mass-produced crap beers
This guy hits it right on the head. Budweiser has always given me a shitty headache, and it tastes like crap, that’s why I don’t drink it. The only decent product Anheuser Busch has ever produced, in my opinion, is Busch Gardens.
Written by Steve Body
Budweiser has always been far more about marketing than beer. The founder of Anheuser Busch, Adolphus Busch, refused to drink his own brew, calling it “that slop” (he was German, of course, so it came out “dot schlop”) AB first made its massive incursion into every American beer market not because Americans were clamoring for the fantastic beer but because the uber-financed new St. Louis brewery actually paid the rent for tavern owners who agreed to sell Bud and kick out all their competitors.

Social Security is a Mandatory Ponzi Scheme
Written by MICHAEL TANNER
Social Security forces people to invest in it through a mandatory payroll tax. A small portion of that money is used to buy special-issue Treasury bonds that the government will eventually have to repay, but the vast majority of the money you pay in Social Security taxes is not invested in anything. Instead, the money you pay into the system is used to pay benefits to those “early investors” who are retired today. When you retire, you will have to rely on the next generation of workers behind you to pay the taxes that will finance your benefits. As with Ponzi’s scheme, this turns out to be a very good deal for those who got in early.

Apple hack
Apple has become the latest target for hackers, with a group of Anonymous users releasing a list of what are said to be usernames and passwords for one of the Cupertino company’s servers. According to a tweet from the team, “Apple could be target, too”; however, they go on to say “But don’t worry, we are busy elsewhere.”
